ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
We appreciate it if you arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. Arriving late for your appointment causes delays in the subsequent schedule. If a patient arrives 15 minutes late to their appointment, we will be forced to cancel it and reschedule for another day, with fees charged to the patient's account.
Telehealth, Photo Review, and Laboratory Result Review Policy
At our practice, we are committed to providing high-quality medical care while ensuring timely access to our providers. Effective immediately, certain medical services provided outside of an in-office visit may be subject to charges.
Telehealth appointments are considered medical visits and will be billed accordingly. Charges may vary depending on the complexity of the visit and your insurance coverage. Any applicable copays, deductibles, or non-covered charges are the responsibility of the patient or guardian.
Photo Reviews Submitted by Text Message
Photos sent to our office texting line for medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or provider review may be subject to a medical review fee. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Rashes - Skin infections - Injurie - Eye concerns - Wound evaluations
Other medical conditions requiring provider assessment
Please note that sending
photos does not guarantee an immediate response and should not be used for emergencies.
Laboratory and Diagnostic Test Result Reviews
When laboratory, imaging, or diagnostic test results require provider review, interpretation, medical recommendations, treatment changes, or discussion by phone, a review fee may apply. This includes: Detailed review of laboratory results - Follow-up treatment recommendations - Medication adjustments - Care plan discussions.
Normal results that do not require medical decision-making will be communicated without charges.
Some insurance plans may cover these services, while others may not. Any balance not covered by insurance will be the responsibility of the patient or guardian.
If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use text messaging or telehealth services for urgent or life-threatening conditions.
By utilizing these services, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
"No-Show Policy"
MAR AND SEA PEDIATRIC charges patients a $50 fee for missed appointments. Our policy states that a $50 fee will be charged if the patient fails to show up for their scheduled appointment without proper notice (Call, voicemail, text message) within 24 - 48 hours in advance.
PREPARE for SUMMER SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS.
Saturday appointments are ONLY available throughout the Summer Season to provide well visits, vaccination records, and physical reports for schools and other activities. Our Saturday appointments typically begin in mid-JULY and conclude at the end of SEPTEMBER, resuming the following Summer. The Saturday schedule will be available biweekly and will be considered as AFTER-HOUR visit.
Please schedule Saturday appointments by PHONE at least 48 hours in advance to allow us ample time to coordinate our team.

🚨 Important Notice About Patient Portal Accounts
Due to technical requirements of our patient portal software, each patient must have a unique email address associated with their Portal account.
If you have more than one child at Mar & Sea Pediatric, our IT support team recommends that you create a separate email address for each child. This ensures secure access to individual medical records, appointment scheduling, and communication with our office.
We understand this may require a few extra steps and truly appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep your family’s information accurate and accessible.

Appointments requested between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM are exclusively available by calling our office. Early appointments may be affected by hospital notifications of newborn deliveries. Our personnel must attend to these hospital calls as a top priority in the morning, and occasionally, these notifications may arrive as late as midnight.

This helps us gather essential demographic and medical information before your visit, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience during and after your appointment. Confirmation and early Cancelations are important for the following reasons:

3. An early Cancelation and appointment confirmation helps us manage our resources effectively, ensuring that medical staff, equipment, and facilities are optimally utilized. This enables us to minimize any potential delays or inconveniences.

We employ a gentle, hand-pressed instrument and sterile, pre-sealed, hypoallergenic piercing earrings made of medical-grade stainless steel. Also, our earrings come with the exclusive Safety Back™, which shields the sharp piercing tip. This feature prevents the earring back from being squeezed too tightly, allowing for ample space and airflow during the healing process, thereby minimizing the risk of infection.
All earrings are packaged in pre-sterilized earring capsules to ensure the utmost safety during the piercing process.
